An AI blackboard tutor that explains it out loud.

Most AI tools hand you an answer. Nuton’s blackboard teaches. Ask a question by voice and the tutor works through it on a live board, speaking as it writes, so you see how the answer is reached rather than just what it is. Stop it, argue with it, or ask for the simpler version at any point.

How the blackboard works

  1. 01

    Ask out loud

Hold the space bar and say what you are stuck on, in your own words. No prompt writing, no menus to learn.

  2. 02

    Watch it work the problem

The tutor talks you through the idea while writing it on the board, one step at a time, so you follow the reasoning instead of reading a finished answer.

  3. 03

    Say when you are lost

Interrupt at any point. Ask for it again, slower, simpler, or with a different example, and the board picks up from there.

  4. 04

    Check that it landed

The tutor asks you a question back and marks your answer, so you find out whether it stuck before the exam does it for you.

Questions people ask

What is an AI blackboard tutor?
It is a tutor that teaches on a board instead of in a chat window. You ask a question by voice, and Nuton explains the idea aloud while writing the working, diagrams and equations onto a blackboard in real time, one step at a time, the way a teacher would at the front of a class.
How is this different from asking ChatGPT?
A chat assistant hands you a finished answer as text. Nuton’s blackboard builds the explanation in front of you, spoken and written together, and pauses to check whether you followed it. You can interrupt mid-explanation and ask for it again a different way.
Which subjects does it teach?
It handles the subjects that need working shown rather than facts recited: mathematics and calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology, along with most secondary school and undergraduate topics.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The blackboard runs in your browser at nuton.app/blackboard. You need a microphone to talk to it, and you can also type if you would rather not speak.
Is it free to use?
You can start on the free plan. Longer lessons and unlimited sessions are part of the paid student plans, and schools can enable it for a whole class through Nuton for Schools.

Teaching a whole class? Nuton for Schools puts the blackboard, the teacher workspace and school-wide visibility on one platform.
